On 21st January, Troy Norcross, our founder here at Blockchain Rookies, will be speaking at the Beyond the Internet of Things event in Cork, Ireland. The conference will be attended by a host of SMEs, entrepreneurs and academics, all keen to learn more about innovative technology (IoT) and its potential for their business. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from international industry experts including researchers, technologists and investors.
The event, now in its second year, aims to educate attendees on how to ‘’harness the next wave of digital technology and investment’’. Throughout the day, a number of speakers will discuss their expert subjects across a range of presentations and panel discussions.
Troy will be involved in a panel discussion alongside fellow experts in the technology sector. The discussion will be led by John Biggs, a programmer, consultant, and writer for TechCrunch, who will provide information on Blockchain’s potential to further enable IoT.
The panel discussion will cover the potential of Blockchain alongside the growth of the IoT, and will also tackle some key concerns such as the usage of decentralisation in preserving users’ privacy. As Blockchain is in its early stages, the long-term potential of Blockchain will be addressed, giving the audience a chance to understand more about the forthcoming technology and its capabilities across a multitude of sectors.
Keep an eye on our Twitter page for more updates about the event, or take a look at Beyond IoT’s website to find out more! Troy recently spoke to the Irish Examiner about Blockchain’s potential to grow together with the Internet of Things (IoT). Take a look at the article here.
